Happy Liver Salve

This is a lovely, nourishing salve for adrenal and liver support, which is especially welcome during seasons of heightened stress. The ingredients in this salve work together as a tonic to help protect and rejuvenate these often overworked systems.

Place the beeswax, baobab, palm kernel, and mango butter in a Pyrex glass measuring cup. Fill a stock pot 1/4 of the way with water and bring to a boil. Place the Pyrex in the pot of water and wait for the beeswax to melt into the carriers.

This takes about 5 minutes on a high heat. Remove from heat before all the beeswax pellets melt, as melting will continue to after heat removal. Be sure none of the water from the pot boils into the Pyrex container. Add the remaining oils as well as the essential oils and stir well with a glass stir rod or a wooden chopstick.

Pour into small glass containers or tin containers. This recipe makes 5.5 ounces of salve.

Massage over the liver area, as well as the lower back adrenal areas.
