Red Palm Oil also known as Palm Fruit Oil is considered the richest natural source of carotenoids (about 15 times more than in carrots). The human body uses carotenoids as Vitamin A, which enhances eye health. Carotenoids also act as biological antioxidants, protecting cells and tissues from the damaging effect of free radicals. It blends beautifully with palm kernel oil. Our Red Palm oil is cold pressed and unrefined.
We are fortunate to have a really good source for Palm Kernel oil out of Togo, West Africa. They don't have Orangutans in this area as the Orangutans are not indigenous to this region. The group we deal with use fair trade and organic guidelines in the production of their oils.
