Lemongrass-Rhodinol rich (India)

Cymbopogon citratus ct rhodinol

Description

This is a very unusual variety of Lemongrass being monoterpenol rich rather than aldehyde rich.  It is high in Rhodinol (combination of Citronellol and Geraniol).  It is described as having a fresh lime, and rosy note.  It is cooling and lovely to use in a blend for hot and inflamed situations. This unique chemotype is especially nice to use for fungus because it is nourishing to the skin compared to the traditional citral high lemongrass that can be skin irritating.

Add just a few drops to your blend for a refreshing, emotionally uplifting and cooling effect. Great for a summer blend! It has also been traditionally used as a good bug repellent. Other essential oils high in Citronellol and Geraniol are Geranium, Eucalyptus citriodora, Palmarosa, and Rose.
