St John's Wort
This has proven to be a miracle for me and was discovered by accident. I have suffered with Graves Opthalmology for 19 years (and still do). Directly under my eyes and down through my cheeks there is sometimes a neurological kind of pain which has never been investigated and diagnosed. I apply one drop of oil to the area which dries immediately and within 10 seconds or less the pain is gone. To me, it is worth more than gold! Always keep it on hand in case I get shingles. It may help with that.

This steam distilled oil is incredible in its ability to remove the nerve pain on my face caused by a disease. It works in under a minute to stop the pain, often within 30 seconds. Nothing I have tried has had this effect. I am wondering if it would work for shingles. The oil is often unavailable and very expensive unfortunately.

St. John's wort is a wonderful plant that deserves a place in every home. Yes, it's mostly known for its mental health support (anxiety/depression) but it's also considered a nervine and antispasmatic. This essential oil really is a wonderful way of being able to use this medicine cabinet plant, and fast. Helps ease tension and pain - which is why I always include it in my homemade "First Aid Salve".
