Eucalyptus Globulus (Authentic)

Eucalyptus globulus

Description

Our organically crafted eucalyptus globulus essential oil, also known as blue gum, is steam distilled from the leaves of this eucalyptus tree growing in the forests of Madagascar, Spain, and Portugal. Often eucalyptus globulus essential oil producers will rectify this kind of eucalyptus oil due to its intense aroma. We feel fortunate to have partnered with a distiller that only crafts authentic eucalyptus globulus essential oil and does not rectify their oil during the distillation process. We often turn to eucalyptus globulus essential oil at the first sign of a cold or flu to help support healthy lung function and boost the immune system.

The long, green, waxy leaves of the Eucalyptus globulus tree create an intense, camphor-like, fresh, sweet, woodsy essential oil. Along with working to support healthy lungs, eucalyptus globulus essential oil is often used to reduce the unwelcome presence of bacterial, fungal, or viral activity. This essential oil can help with minor pain and inflammation management, and ease unwanted muscle spasms. Eucalyptus globulus essential oil is ideal to use in a steam blend, 2-3 times a day as a preventative measure, at the first sign of a cold or flu. This essential oil is often used in a diffuser to help purify the air when others are sick with the cold or flu to help minimize the spread of illness. Emotionally and energetically, eucalyptus globulus essential oil clears and uplifts. Often this essential oil encourages mental clarity and helps soothe exhaustion. This essential oil reduces patterns of negative thinking and can bring clarity and increased vitality, especially during particularly challenging times.

The smell
I read the reviews before purchasing, and Ill be honest...I was curious on the smell. (I am a Massage Therapist for 14 years) this is NOT your standard "SPA" smell. This is more of the DRIED Euc you would find down the floral lane at a craft store. With that being said, I DO like the smell, BUT it is different then you might expect =)

Love it!
I was actually looking at this oil because I was thinking about buying a second bottle while it is on sale, even though I'm not through my bottle yet, because I love it so much, when I saw the negative review of it. So I wanted to offer a different point of view, because this is literally my favorite Euc. glob I've ever purchased, and I've gone through a lot of bottles in the past couple decades! I LOVE the aroma. It is different than other E. globulus--gentler, less sharp, and more complex. I'm not at all saying the other person is wrong, but just offering up that aroma is personal, and that I really really like this batch. It is divine to the point that I am protective of it--when I want to make a new stock bottle of a blend that I'm not sure how I will like, I use some other Euc I have, because I'm afraid I'll waste this. smile I think I've convinced myself that I should buy another bottle.

Awful smell
I thought I would try this but when I received it and opened it the smell was very off putting. I know that sometimes oils can be quite strong at first and until you get used to it but this is so bad that after using it a few times I can no longer use it. The description says sweet and woodsy and I don't know where the sweet is and the woodsy is not a good grounding smell it is a smell that you can't really stand to be around.
