Eucalyptus Globulus (Authentic)

Eucalyptus globulus

Description

This Eucalyptus called "Authentic" is a "crude or raw" Eucalyptus and has a much different aroma than rectified Eucalyptus globulus. The aroma is sweet and woody and powerful. Crude means it hasn't gone through an additional step that "rectifies" the essential oil normally performed with Eucalyptus globulus. It has the same properties. Great used for steam inhalation or inhaler for cold & flu prevention and to help break down mucus and relax the bronchial smooth musclers. Add to blends for sore muscle pain relief. Very cool and cleansing for the respiratory system along with the mental and emotional aspect.

Why do we love our essential oils?

  • we personally know our producers (and love them!)
  • we provide distillation dates of each batch (to guarantee freshness)
  • each batch of oil is tested for purity and consistency
  • GC/MS reports are available on each batch of oil, so blending using chemical components is incredibly accurate (and so much fun!)

The smell
I read the reviews before purchasing, and Ill be honest...I was curious on the smell. (I am a Massage Therapist for 14 years) this is NOT your standard "SPA" smell. This is more of the DRIED Euc you would find down the floral lane at a craft store. With that being said, I DO like the smell, BUT it is different then you might expect =)

Love it!
I was actually looking at this oil because I was thinking about buying a second bottle while it is on sale, even though I'm not through my bottle yet, because I love it so much, when I saw the negative review of it. So I wanted to offer a different point of view, because this is literally my favorite Euc. glob I've ever purchased, and I've gone through a lot of bottles in the past couple decades! I LOVE the aroma. It is different than other E. globulus--gentler, less sharp, and more complex. I'm not at all saying the other person is wrong, but just offering up that aroma is personal, and that I really really like this batch. It is divine to the point that I am protective of it--when I want to make a new stock bottle of a blend that I'm not sure how I will like, I use some other Euc I have, because I'm afraid I'll waste this. smile I think I've convinced myself that I should buy another bottle.

Awful smell
I thought I would try this but when I received it and opened it the smell was very off putting. I know that sometimes oils can be quite strong at first and until you get used to it but this is so bad that after using it a few times I can no longer use it. The description says sweet and woodsy and I don't know where the sweet is and the woodsy is not a good grounding smell it is a smell that you can't really stand to be around.
