Our organically crafted Makrut lime essential oil, also known as Thai bergamot essential oil, is steam distilled from fresh rinds of the sustainably harvested Makrut lime citrus fruit growing wild in the tropical forests of Thailand. This essential oil is distilled from the peel of the same bumpy skinned fruit, also called Combavaand, that is used in Thai cooking for a zesty lime flavor. We love using Makrut lime essential oil to help reduce the presence of unwanted bacterial, fungal, and/or viral activity, especially relating to a cold or the flu.
The fresh, tart, green rinds of the Citrus hystrix fruit create a citrusy, fruity, sweet, fresh essential oil.
