Description: Opopanax Gum Resin (Raw)
Country of Origin: Somalia
Recommended Use: Use this resin for burning as an incense, for prayer and to clear the space. The resin can be burned in a wood stove or on a charcoal tab.
Information: This resin is from the Commiphora Guidotti tree. Opoponax, also known as "sweet myrrh," has an earthy, rich, balsamic fragrance when burned as incense. The resin has the most amazing gold color, and the aroma is really appealing!
Note: When you buy the 1 pound size there will be some beautiful larger chunks of the resin. You can put these in a bowl and use as a potpourri, or you can take a larger chunk, put it in a separate plastic bag and hit it with a hammer to break it into small pieces to burn. Try making your own blend of all 3 of our resins: Frankincense, Myrrh, and Opopanax!
