Tamala Oil - Expired

Cinnamomum tamala ct linalool

This tamala essential oil is past its expiration date and is no longer recommended for therapeutic or skin-care use. It's being offered at a reduced price for cleaning and passive diffusion purposes only. Although it can no longer be used aromatherapeutically, this oil still carries its warm, spicy, cinnamon-like character and has plenty of life left for around-the-house uses. Its cozy aroma makes it a natural choice for passive diffusion — add a few drops to a reed diffuser, scent stone, or wool dryer ball to bring a warm, resonant scent into a room. It blends beautifully into seasonal potpourri, drawer sachets, or simmer pots, especially when paired with other warming notes like clove, orange, or cardamom. Because tamala is in the cinnamon family, it also lends itself well to homemade cleaning blends — mix a few drops into a vinegar-based surface spray, or combine with other antimicrobial oils like tea tree or pine for a kitchen and bathroom cleaner with a festive edge. It can also be used to scent homemade trash bin deodorizers, vacuum sachets, or charcoal-based odor absorbers. Originally a wildcrafted oil, steam distilled from the fresh leaves of an evergreen tree growing in the tropical and subtropical Himalayas of Nepal. The distiller has formed a farmer cooperative, which has helped the local people significantly raise their quality of life.
