Balsam Poplar from Aromatics

Balsam Poplar

Populus balsamifera

Description

This balsam poplar essential oil is steam distilled from the buds of the Populus balsamifera tree primarily found in northern, colder climates such as Canada. This organically crafted oil is a slight pale yellow in color with aromatics that could be compared to sweetly spiced, perfectly stewed plums. These gorgeous, resinous, balsamic base notes make this oil a favorite when blending.  GC  report posted soon!

Balsam popular is often used by aromatherapists when looking to help:

  • maintain healthy joints and muscles
  • relieve voluntary or involuntary muscle spasms
  • support healthy tissue, especially when dealing with typical scarring and injuries associated with daily life
  • support healthy skin
  • nourish the heart when one is feeling particularly emotionally flooded
