Vanilla Oleoresin

Vanilla planifolia

Vanilla oleoresin smells rich, warm, sensual, and sweet—just like luscious, intoxicating vanilla! The aroma has an intensely soothing effect. This 30-fold oleoresin is a thick, molasses-like substance that’s water soluble, but doesn’t dissolve in oil. It’s made when wildcrafted bourbon vanilla bean pods are put into a pressurized environment with an organic solvent (ethanol). Once the rich, aromatic plant material is extracted (the oleoresin), the solvent is removed with a vacuum process. A small amount of vanilla oleoresin goes a long way to infuse oils and butters with exotic scent.

Vanilla Heaven

I purchased Vanilla Oleoresin because I wanted to add a touch of that heavenly vanilla aroma to body butters, massage oils, etc. This is a thick, dark resin that smells delicious. I am currently infusing jojoba oil to make body butters for Christmas gifts. A little bit goes a long way, so don't let the price scare you off. You will not regret adding this item to your collection.

Vanilla is one of my favorite smells and flavor in some drinks and food. I’ve been saving my aroma drops all year to get this vanilla and i must say I was disappointed. It just does not have a strong aroma. I have some experience with resins so there was no disappointment in that. I just kept reading the reviews how a little goes a long way, and maybe it does. I have some infusing with jojoba oil, that’s not ready. But when I put some in the diffuser or even just open the bottle I have to stick my nose literally almost in the bottle to get a good smell. I love this company and their products but this one as of yet appears to of been a complete waste of money to me. Hopefully in a couple weeks from now after I explore more ways to use it, I will find the scent I’m looking for

Hi Adam! Thanks for taking the time to share with us! Vanilla Oleoresin is quite an interesting product to work with. It is great to use in infusions, like you are doing. This is probably the most common way it is used. Due to it's molasses like consistency, it is not usually recommended to use in a diffuser. The aroma does not disperse well. We would love to assist with any other questions or guidance to help with using this product. Keep your eyes peeled for a follow up from our customer service team. Thank you!

Vanilla Oleoresin

This is wonderful stuff. When I make my lotions I blend the vanilla in the water phase to dissolve it completely then add it to the formula. Since lotions are water based it would probably mix nicely with any lotion.
