KOM-105

Description
The strong, earthy aroma of our rich, dark brown kombo butter reminds some people of burnt caramel, or even mushrooms. With a thick, grainy texture, kombo butter feels silky and absorbs quickly. Our wildcrafted, unrefined kombo butter retains its myristoleic acid content (making it perfect for muscle and joint care blends), and is best stored in the refrigerator. Those who struggle with allergies tend to respond well to this butter. It’s cold pressed from the seeds of tropical trees in West Africa.

A Passion for Aromatherapy

Aromatics International would not be what it is today without your shared belief in what we do, what we stand for, and how we conduct our aromatherapy practice.

I embarked on my journey to source pesticide-free, sustainable products from small-scale farmers and a major criteria of mine is that everything I source is both aromatically vibrant and also therapeatically effective. I love sharing what I find in this world with others. I am constantly blown away by the positive response I receive from all of you. I thank all of you for your strong support throughout the years and am continually inspired by the warm words you share with me. It truly keeps me going.

I've made a balm with this butter for my mom's knee pain. The blend worked great with it. Love its brown hue too

Something New

I was unfamiliar with Kombo Butter but was intrigued by its description. Physically, it is different from any other butter I've used. It's dark color and grainy, almost liquid, texture make it truly unique. I sometimes have outbreaks of eczema on my hands and when I do my fingers swell and the joints can be painful. I decided to try the kombo butter for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. I've only had it for a few days so haven't seen any long term results but I've found the butter to be soothing to my hands, both the rash and the joints. In the jar the smell is pretty strong; not bad but earthy. The smell isn't so strong on my hands and actually smells sort of good at that level of intensity. I'm really glad I decided to try something new.
