White Spruce Oil

Picea glauca

White spruce is both tender and tough—the tree can withstand temperatures from 90 °F to -50 °F (34 °C to -65 °C). For centuries, the indigenous people of Canada (where our white spruce oil is produced) have trusted this hardy tree for protection through challenging times. The needles produce a fresh, mild, piney, woodsy essential oil that’s gentle on skin, while offering powerful strength to the body—especially the breath, muscles, and joints. Our certified organic white spruce essential oil is steam distilled in wild Canadian evergreen forests.

Benefits and uses

The richly fragrant needles and twigs of the Picea glauca evergreen tree create a fresh, piney, woodsy, camphor-like essential oil. Along with helping to promote healthy lung and airway activity, white spruce essential oil is soothing in case of unwelcome muscle spasms, such as a persistent, spastic cough. This essential oil is helpful when looking to manage pain and inflammation, ease muscle tension, and help soothe swollen lymph glands. We think white spruce essential oil blends beautifully with peppermint essential oil when trying to relieve all kinds of pain and inflammation. This essential oil is also lovely to use in a diffuser when looking to clear and purify the room from any unwanted microbial activity. White spruce essential oil is skin healing and rejuvenating as well as a great oil to add to bone healing and strengthening blends.

Emotionally and energetically, white spruce essential oil relaxes and restores. This essential oil is incredibly uplifting and calming, especially during more trying times.
