Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil

Cinnamomum verum

A few drops of spicy cinnamon bark essential oil can fill the room with a warm, radiant scent! It can also purify the air, which helps us stay healthy and energized as the seasons change. Cinnamon bark essential oil is rich in cinnamaldehyde, too hot and stimulating for regular topical use, but ideal for natural cleaning. Our certified organic cinnamon bark oil is steam distilled from wild Ceylon cinnamon trees in the forests of Sri Lanka. It has a different chemical profile than cinnamon leaf oil, though they're both distilled from the same plant. Please note: Cinnamomum verum and Cinnamomum zeylanicum refer to the same plant, with the former being the more current name. The term Cinnamomum zeylanicum is an older designation on labels that is being phased out in favor of Cinnamomum verum.

Safety & Warnings

Use with caution on the skin as it can cause burning, blistering, or sensitization. For topical use, limit to 1 drop per 60 mL of carrier (0.05%). Avoid during pregnancy, nursing, and with children under five. Diffuse with care, as some may be sensitive to the cinnamaldehyde and eugenol.
