Benefits and uses

Peppermint hydrosol is perfect for making a mentally stimulating and energizing “wake-up” water. Drink it in the morning to get your whole body going, including the bowels. Used as a tonic for helping with nausea, it may also be useful for reducing gas as it contains carminative properties. Some have even had success using peppermint to help ease symptoms of Crohn’s disease, colitis, and irritable bowel syndrome.

Peppermint’s analgesic and cooling properties can help relieve pain from minor cuts and wounds. Try combining peppermint hydrosol with helichrysum hydrosol or lavender hydrosol for a useful pain reducing treatment for various injuries. Peppermint can also act as an expectorant and decongestant, making it helpful in lung issues.

Try spraying this wonderful peppermint hydrosol on the back of your neck, head, and chest for a refreshing, stimulating pick-me-up. We have also heard that peppermint hydrosol makes a great insect repellent!
