Raw, unrefined shea butter with a gorgeous ivory color and a rich, nutty aroma! Our shea butter is a thick butter that’s solid at room temperature, and melts easily. It’s full of antioxidants, and Vitamins A and E, making it supremely nourishing for skin, even very dry, chronically irritated, or recovering skin. This shea butter is processed by a fair trade organization in Togo, using a traditional, time-intensive method that preserves its integrity. While the term unrefined often brings to mind cold-pressed oils, traditional shea butter is prepared in a way that reflects both care and cultural heritage. The nuts are hand-harvested, lightly roasted over fire, a necessary step to bring out their rich oils, then ground, churned, and separated by hand. It's not cold-pressed in the modern industrial sense, but it is minimally processed, using water and gentle heat rather than solvents or chemicals. The result is a deeply nourishing butter, rich in natural compounds and made with generations of skill.

    This shea butter melts into your skin quickly with little greasy feel. Adding essential oil blends gives the butter an extra fragrant aroma. The texture is consistently smooth and easy to work with. So far this is the best shea butter I’ve found.
