Blue tansy essential oil’s sweet, herbaceous scent can calm worries and inspire relaxation and optimism. (There are also hints of camphor in its aroma.) This potent blue oil helps soothe sore, tender skin, muscles, and joints. Blue tansy can encourage the body’s natural repair process, making recovery feel more comfortable. Our sustainably grown and unsprayed blue tansy essential oil is steam distilled from golden flowers growing wild in the Moroccan countryside. Its characteristic blue color comes from the natural component chamazulene, also found in German chamomile and yarrow essential oils.

According to Essential Oil Safety by Tisserand and Young (second edition), oils containing chamazulene could present a theoretical risk in that it could inhibit drugs metabolized by CYP1A3, CYP3A4 and CYP2D6 such as antidepressants, calcium channel blockers, and some chemotherapy drugs.

    I am not fond of the aroma but my husband loves it. Though I am not fond of the aroma I used it in a allergy recipe and loved the effect.
