Essential Oil

Cinnamon Bark Oil

Cinnamomum zeylanicum

Our organically crafted cinnamon bark essential oil is steam distilled from the sustainably wildcrafted bark of the Ceylon cinnamon tree growing wild in the forests of Madagascar. One of our favorite ways of using this essential oil is in diffuser blends or DIY cleaning products, as it helps reduce the presence of unwanted bacterial, fungal, and viral activity. This essential oil is rich in aldehydes, particularly cinnamaldehyde. While many aldehydes are cooling, cinnamaldehyde is hot and stimulating and will most likely have a burning effect on skin, therefore, it is not recommended for topical use.
