Earthy, smoky, woodsy, and sweet, vetiver essential oil has a rich aroma that can call to mind being in the forest at night. It’s famous for its grounding and relaxing effects and is popular in natural perfumes for both the mysterious beauty of its scent and its fixative properties. Vetiver’s tranquil presence also makes it excellent for skin care, especially for calming redness. Our organically crafted vetiver essential oil is steam distilled (in a patient, time-consuming process) from the roots of grassy plants in the rainforests of India.

    Great bug repellent & more!

    Vetiver is a great bug repellent; we use it in our diffusers to curb the enthusiasm of wayward mosquitos & flies! We recall only twice in the 18 years we've lived in Hawaii that we've had only a couple of mosquitos find their way inside, and one fly! Good, eh!

    It's also very soothing and works well if you're having trouble sleeping. We usually have at least one diffuser running and the combo of Lavender & Vetiver works great for calming down busy minds and wafting us off to dreamland. Works just as great for meditation practices, too!

    We love these oils: best quality, great prices!

    Wonderful oil for calming you down after a stressful day. I use it in combination with patchouli and a carrier oil, it makes a great roll on.
